You would think I have been costuming forever, but I haven't, really. I started in earnest when I was still in High School, but usually only for Halloween. It took a trip to my first science fiction convention (Balticon) for me to be really interested in dressing up at other times of the year.

That said, I have been fascinated by historical and theatrical costumes for a whole lot longer. My first costume sketches go back to fifth grade, and my love-affair with fancy dress coincides with the first airings of Rogers & Hammerstein's Cinderella on TV.

My primary outlet now for costuming is Costume-Con.

Costume-Connections ®

I serve as the Costume-Con Archivist and maintain the official Costume-Con Conference web site, at http://www.Costume-Con.org/. My site contains lots of information about the event known as Costume-Con, and is fast becoming one of the best on-line costume resource guides available on the web, thanks to tons of feedback from visitors to the site.

Costume-Con Fifteen (CCXV)

I served as Chair of the Fifteenth annual Costume-Con conference, held Memorial Day weekend, May 23-26, 1997 in Baltimore, Maryland, which is how I was inspired to create Costume-Connections.

International Costumers' Guild, Inc. (ICG)

Costume-Cons are generally sponsored by chapters of the ICG. I have been involved with this organization since before its official inception in 1990, and have served as Corresponding Secretary, Editor of the ICG Membership Directory and the ICG's first Treasurer.

The Greater Columbia Fantasy Costumers' Guild, Inc.

I served as Secretary, Treasurer and President of the GCFCG, and was a member of this chapter of the ICG from 1985 until 1997.

The Greater New York/New Jersey Chapter, aka the Sick Pups of Monmuth County

I have been a member of this ICG chapter since 1998.
