On September 20, 1997, Dan and I were married at Algonkian Regional Park in Sterling, Virginia. We have been promising since then to post some of the photos we got from the wedding. Most of these are the product of our photographer, Jane Levine. We went out of our way to find someone who could take candid shots, and would be willing to make that be the majority of the photos. We are very happy with her work. A few of the photos were provided by friends Fran and Doug.

Remember: If you want a closer look at any of the photos, just click on the photo and you'll get the big picture!

And now, on with the show!

We couldn't have done it without...

Jeanmarie and DavidLee and AnnalieseMark

Mym and QuasiJeanmarie and David, Lee and Annaliese, Mark (who provided excellent dj services as a gift!), Mym and Quasi, all of whom helped out most by being there to provide answers to people who were looking for the Bride all that day!

Thanks again to Frank, Kelly, Amy, Laurie, Sue, Larry, Tad, Tom and Barb for their help in setting up and tearing down! If we left anyone else out, it isn't because we don't like you - the day was just too full!

Thanks also to Sharon, Linda (for the tremendous cake), Mike Harrington (Kinko's Copy Center), the staff of Algonkian Regional Park, J. Higgins (the kilt/sash), Flower Depot, Touch of Class Catering, Repeat Performance (shoes), RePeats (dress), and a whole bunch of other places that contributed towards making the day as wonderful as it was.

A word about the "vintage attire" concept. Our invitation encouraged vintage attire, and many of our guests wore period or recreation garments. This was the single biggest point of confusion for our guests, almost all of whom asked us just what "vintage" meant. As you already know, having visited our pages, we both costume - and we both like different types of costume. Because of this diversity in our tastes, we felt that it would be silly for us to insist that our guests stick to one specific period. We thought it worked out well!

And for those of you who asked, or are just plain curious, all of our dresses were purchased. If you want to know more about the wedding dress, see The Story of the Wedding Dress.
